ALICIA is an early career independent contemporary dancer, performer and maker based on the Gold Coast. Alicia spent her first Bachelor investigating a Theological perspective of Arts and Contemporary Culture and her second Bachelor training in Dance Performance (Adelaide College of the Arts). Since graduating, she has worked with numerous independent artists, directed several independent works, has been a recipient of The Choreographic Futures Award.
Alicia has performed in Time Capsule (Seeing Place Productions), worked on the creative development of Quarantine (The Farm), You Should be Dancing (Brisbane Festival) Down the Rabbit Hole (NYID David Pledger & Bleached Arts). Alicia is a collaborator with Viviane Frehner and Ashleigh White from Gogi Collective an Independent group of dancers based around Gold Coast and Lennox Heads. Together they recently debuted a film called Gogi and are currently creating a site specific physical theatre work called Quiet by Nature in which the audience watch performances on pontoons from floating seats (also known as kayaks) for the Commonwealth Games.
