Growing up in beachside Mission Beach, Far North Queensland, Boatkeeper has woven the coastal sounds of a salt drenched youth into their own brand of soulful, acoustic folk.  Days spent experimenting in the filtered sunlight of palm trees have infused Boatkeeper’s sound with an impressive ability to transport their audience instantly to the sunshine and surf.

“Very clean folk pop. Not without its charms.” – Dave Ruby Howe (Triple J Presenter)

After the release of their debut EP ‘Windward’ last year, Boatkeeper have quickly made waves throughout Australia, jumping to number two on the iTunes Charts in the Singer/Songwriter genre. Boatkeeper have also managed to rack-up over 1,000,000 streams on Spotify and received Triple J Unearthed rotation for the songs ‘Cleanse’ and ‘So Go’.

Lead singer/guitarist Boyd Fuller started Boatkeeper as a solo project but is now joined by a crew of homegrown talent completing the five-piece line-up which promises to deliver catchy acoustic sing-a-longs and buoyant folk-rock anthems.

“Putting the crowd at instant ease with an invitation to “chill out”, Boatkeeper provided warm, honest, witty and intimate storytelling.” – Roo (Music is My Muse)
